Original song by The Script

Life since I broke up with my girlfriend Skylar has been rough.

I still don't understand what I did wrong. She was the best girl I could've ever asked for, and after four years together, I would've never believed we'd part like that. She blocked my number, so yesterday I got a brilliant idea. I'll go back to the park where we first met, and I won't move until she comes back. I packed a sleeping bag, my wallet and a picture of her.

I set down exactly where I first saw her and got settled in. At the first sight, someone tried to give me money until I showed her a photo of my girlfriend.

"This is Skylar Larson. Please tell her that I'm waiting for her at the park if you see her." It was a very awkward first interaction. The same thing repeated, and if they persist, I'll accept the money and chuckle "Don't worry. I'm not broke, I'm just a brokenhearted man." some point and laugh, but it doesn't phase me. I'll stay here no matter what --- not like I have anything better to do

Around six hours into my wait, a police officer came up to me while I was softly singing to myself. "Sir, you're going to have to leave," he said. "No, I'm waiting for someone," I told him. "I won't be phased by rain or snow, it might even take years, but I'm not moving until she comes...if she changes her mind, that is."

"Okay sir."

Fortunately enough, he appeared to be a good cop and left me alone, and I decided to sleep.

Today I woke up and already saw people gossiping at the park. "Yeah, that guy over there, he's gonna sit there and wait for his girlfriend like she'd ever come back. Crazy what some people do in the name of love, huh?" But no matter who sneers or gossips, I will stay here no matter what. I've already heard some people call me "The Man Who Can't Be Moved." Maybe I'll become famous, then Skylar will come back for me knowing how dedicated I am to her.

But now, I'll just sit in this patch of grass and hope she comes back soon. After all, I am The Man Who Can't Be Moved.
